CHINA MOBILE SETTING (I MOBILE, NOKLA, BLUEBERRY, CSL, TV MOBILE ETC)

Nowadays made in china phone or more popularly known as China Mobile in Malaysia, is quite a common sight on our local Communication shop. These China Mobiles and its clone (such as I MOBILE, CSL, BLUEBERRY and NOKLA to name a few) got some disadvantages. The most common disadvantages is that local telecomunications company (Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile) MOST PROBABLY do not provide OTA settings (a.k.a. Over The Air settings). Most unlucky customers will end up scratching their head due to the fact that not all telecommunications company provide technical support to configure their phone. So for my friends out there who is not a very tech-savy minded, I provide below a general outline on how to configure your beloved phone. The settings below is for CELCOM SUBSCRIBER ONLY. For other TELCOs, leave your comments and I will post the details in this blog.TQ

MANUAL CONFIGURATION OF GPRS

From Main Menu> Services> Data Account> GPRS

If Celcom GPRS does not exist, go to Account # (eg: Account 1),
Press Edit
Account Name : celcom GPRS
APN : wap.celcom.net.my (Postpaid), celcom (Prepaid), celcom3g(3G SIMcard)
Authentication Type : Normal
Press Done > "SAVE?" > Select YES
Press Back (2X)

Select WAP > Select Settings > Select Edit Profile

If Celcom WAP does not exist, go to Profile # (eg: Profile 1), Press OK
Select Edit Profile
Rename : Celcom GPRS
Homepage : http://wap.celcom.com.my
Data Account : GPRS : Celcom GPRS
Connection : HTTP
Proxy Address : 010.128.001.242
Proxy Port : 8080
Press Done > "SAVE" > Select YES
Select Activate Profile
"Active Profile" > Press YES

MANUAL CONFIGURATION OF MMS

From Main Menu > Setting > Connections > Data Connections

Select Edit a Connection
If Celcom MMS does not exist, Press Cancel > Select Add a new connection
Profile Name : Celcom MMS
Proxy 1 : 010.128.001.242
Port 1 : 9201 / 8080
GPRS APN : mms.celcom.net.my (postpaid), celcom (prepaid), celcom3g (3G sim)
Press Back

Main Menu > Messages > MMS > MMS Settings > Server Profile

If Celcom MMS does not exist, go to Profile# (eg: Profile1) > Press OK
Select Edit Profile
Rename : Celcom MMS
Homepage : http://mms.celcom.net.my
Data Account : Celcom MMS
Connection : HTTP

Press Done
"Save?"> Press Yes

MOTOROLA A1200 WAP AND MMS SETTING

Setting up MMS and WAP on Motorola A1200 ( carrier: Celcom, Maxis, Digi)

1) go to setup

2) then select data network

create 2 profiles,

A)WAP PROFILE

First profile is for WAP, key in this info:
Profile name: Celcom Wap @ Maxis Wap @ DiGi Wap
apn: (celcom= Celcom3g, celcom or wap.celcom.net.my), (Maxis= net), (DiGi= digiwap)
username: (Celcom= none), (Maxis= maxis), (DiGi= wap)
password: (Celcom= none), (Maxis= wap), (DiGi=wap)
IP: (Celcom= 010.128.001.242), (Maxis= 202.75.133.49), (DiGi= 203.92.128.160)
Port: (Celcom=8080), (Maxis=80), (DiGi=80)

leave everything else blank.

Then launch your browser, select the menu button, go to setup and select profiles, then choose the name that we enter previously and then select edit and fill it out this way:

profile name: Celcom WAP @ Maxis Wap @ DiGi Wap

Homepage: (Celcom= http://3g.celcom.com.my), (Maxis= http://wap.maxis.com.my), (DiGi= http://wap.digi.com.my)

Now for the second Profile

10 Ways on how to save on Petrol..

First off all, this is the view of an amateur (known as mr Amry.. it`s me hehe) and not a professional. My field of work is on computers and mobile network and this post got no connection at all with my daily job.. All data if present is solely based on my own experience, advice from my mechanics and a bit of research on the internet.

So guys, here are the tips on how to save on Fuel (on automobiles only):

1#Plan your journey ahead. If possible, don`t drive during peak hours. Traffic jam is a waste of time and fuels. My Proton`s full tank (RM120) cannot last a week for a 5 times +/-30KM journey.

2#Service your car regularly (usually in 3 months interval or after every 5000KM). A well maintained engine prolonged its life and maintain the fuel consumptions.

3#Check and clean up (if necessary) your engine`s air filter and spark plug. These two components if not taken care of will cause your engine to operate inefficiently. The engine will be unable to mix air and fuels and burn it for optimum result.

4#Do not put extra weight on your car. Remove all unnecessary thing form your car`s compartment. Extra weight means extra fuel consumption for your car.

5#For manual transmission, shift and stay at highest gear if possible so that the RPM will stay below 3000RPM (less RPM mean less fuel burned). For automatic transmission, don't press the gas pedal too hard from static condition. Press the gas pedal gently and let your car gain momentum slowly. If you press it too much, your RPM will only goes up but your car still take time to gain momentum due to the restrictions on the automatic gearbox.

6#install voltage regulator to save 5% to 10% less fuel consumptions (installation cost range from RM100 to RM150)

7#wash and wax your car regularly. Reason?? to improve air flow and aerodynamic of your car. ;P When we talk about aerodynamic, don't buy box shaped car instead buy an egg shaped one. Boxy shaped cars like Proton Juara consumes more fuels compared to let say Perodua Rusa. Bad aerodynamic design cause drag. Drag means more energy needed by the engine to move the car.

8# Use small diameter tires and aloy rims. Reason is to save weight and and remove unnecessary burden on your engine. The negative side is, small tires decrease traction control..

9# Minimize air conditioning usage. Air conditioner consumes fuel my dear..hehe

10# Don`t leave your car on idle for a long period. Turn your car engine off while waiting for your friends..it save fuels, and help save our environment. Even though starting your engine consumes a considerable amount of fuels but that's only true to some extent with carburetors engine.

I received this article this early morning and straightaway I know it`s a good article for us to share.. (forgive me for the article below is not my own words, somebody send it to me by email ).

Once upon a time there was this girl who had 4 boyfriends.

She loved the 4th boyfriend the most and adorned him with rich robes and treated him to the finest of delicacies. She gave him nothing but the very best.

She also loved the 3rd boyfriend very much and was always showing him off to neighboring kingdoms. However, she feared that one day he would leave her for another.

She also loved her 2nd boyfriend. He was her confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with her. Whenever this girl faced a problem, she could confide in him, and he would help her get through the difficult times.

The girls 1st boyfriend was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining her wealth and kingdom. However, she did not love the first boyfriend. Although he loved her deeply, she hardly took notice of him!

One day, the girl fell ill and she knew her time was short. She thought of her luxurious life and wondered, I now have four boyfriends with me, but when I die, I’ll be all alone.’

Thus, she asked the 4th boyfriend, ‘I loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?’

‘No way!’, replied the 4th boyfriend, and he walked away without another word.

His answer cut like a sharp knife right into her heart.

The sad girl then asked the 3rd boyfriend, ‘I loved you all my life. Now that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?’

‘No!’, replied the 3rd boyfriend. ‘Life is too good! When you die, I’m going to marry someone else!’

Her heart sank and turned cold.

She then asked the 2nd boyfriend, ‘I have always turned to you for help and you’ve always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?’

‘I’m sorry, I can’t help you out this time!’, replied the 2nd boyfriend. ‘At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave.’

His answer struck her like a bolt of lightning, and the girl was devastated.

Then a voice called out: ‘I’ll go with you. I’ll follow you no matter where you go.’

The girl looked up, and there was her first boyfriend. He was very skinny as he suffered from malnutrition and neglect.

Greatly grieved, the girl said, ‘I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!’

In truth, you have 4 boy friends in your lives:

Your 4th boyfriend is your body. No matter how much time and effort you lavish in making it look good, it will leave you when you die.

Your 3rd boyfriend is your possessions, status and wealth. When you die, it will all go to others.

Your 2nd boyfriend is your family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for you, the furthest they can stay by you is up to the grave.

And your 1st boyfriend is your Soul. Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world.

However, your Soul is the only thing that will follow you where ever you go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of you that will follow you to the throne of God and continue with you throughout Eternity.

First of all, I would like to whish all Muslims around the globe a very happy fasting month. May God bless us all, may all the hatred among us is just a story of the past, and may McCain and his Republican party lost to Obama and with his Democrat (hehehe :P, kinda like Obama and the Democrat side even though I’m no American). Just compare Bush with Clinton, you can see the difference. The world is in peace if the Republican party does not rule.. ok ok.. Enough about world politics. Anyway its not my concern..

This week, Arsenal rules!! Yeah.. Even though we lost to Fulham FC (0-1) last week, but we already overcome it by winning back to back against McClaren`s FC Twente on the champions league 4-0 (6-0 on aggregate), and against Keegan`s “barcode” Newcastle United 3-0. An Arsenal side at its best is just awesome and is pleasing to the eyes. Slick passing and quick interplay, it’s an art of a highest standard only few clubs can match. Hopefully after the international break, we will be able to continue our momentum and record an away game against Blackburn. By the way, tomorrow is the closing date for this summer transfer window (today for Malaysian time) and hopefully by then, Arsene already splash some cash to strengthen our squad. I like Metzelder and xabi Alonso a lot, I think Gunners fan will appreciate if one of them join the team even though the chance are close to almost impossible..

Okay, enough with football. Last night I watched a movie (starred by Queen Latifah, however I don’t remember the title though), its about a women who was diagnosed with a brain cancer and her life expectancy is just about 3 to 4 weeks. On receiving the shocking news, the women left her normal life behind and spent her next 4 weeks traveling around so that she can enjoy her last time on earth.. For me even though the storyline is quite flat and I can expect the ending of the story, but there are some elements of the movie that I found so meaningful and full of motivations.

Well, I don’t have any intentions to elaborate the storyline in full, I just love to share with you guys some of the incredible part of the movie. So, I just list it all here with the hope that we can think about it and learn to live our life to the fullest.

#When our time in this world is come to an end, family is what we need the most. It`s not the money we save, not our bosses, not even our best friend.. Its our family!! So be good to your spouse, child and parents. Family is the core of life, others are just compliments..

# On your quest for glory (and maybe wealth and career), don’t push it too hard, because someday you will regret because you’ll miss a large part of your life. Like people always said, we are too busy looking at the stars above until we forget how beautiful the landscape around us. At the end what we got is just exhaustion. Remember, the world is enough to cater human needs but it will never ever satisfy human greed.

#If you don’t like your job, quit!! Don’t force yourself to do something you can’t accept. Without desire, you will never excel!!

The blog owner and his sister

Yesterday I went to IIUM (International Islamic University Malaysia) for the university`s 24th convocation. After Friday Prayer at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Mosque, straightaway I went to the convocations bazar (a place where usually you can buy a flowers and gifts for the new graduates, but..

it seems to me that this bazar`s atmosphere is more like a “pasar malam” or night market). I found that only 4 or 5 stalls are selling flowers and gifts and the rest or maybe I shall say it “the majority” were selling foodstuff, scarfs, clothes and even cars!!

huhu..well I dont care about all those stuff by the way. Then out of nowhere, a salesmen ‘magically’ appeared infront of me persuading me to take a look at his stall. Spot on mate!! He was selling ‘a thing’ I cannot resist!! (poor me.. :P) It`s an Arsenal FC jersey, home and away kit.. How did on earth he knows that I`m an Arsenal FC supporter!! After a while of thinking, I`ve decided to buy the home kit. By the way I think the away kit colour (yellow) is not suitable for Arsenal. Red is Arsenal, Arsenal is Red..thats the way it is..

The salesmen informed me that the kit is original..but my 6th sense told me that it is a fake Nike jersey from Thailand, grade A of course.. Please dont blame me ok, blame my employer for not giving me enough salary for me to buy the original Nike kit..huhu 1st class facility, low class salary..typical Malaysian, yeaahh Malaysia Bolehh!!

So, tonite I will be watching Fulham vs Arsenal at home- wearing my new kit (it`s malaysian time +8 GMT) with my brother who is according to him is a true manure supporter yaya..trash Fulham at the cottage!!

Till then, ONCE A GUNNER, ALWAYS BE A GOONER!!

Best movie of the month!!

I think I`m a movie lover. You asked me why?? Easy mate.. because it seems that almost every week I will pay a visit to a cineplex. For this month alone, I already watch 3 movies. A month before that I watch 4 movies. And just to reinforce the fact that I am an avid movie lover, almost everyday I watch HBO, Cinemax and Starmovies.. ahha.. that means at least 10-20 movies a month.. Whoa!! that is quite a lot of movies..

Just to share with you guys, I think, in my humble opinion the best movie of the month award is belong to WALL E. I watched this movie at the TGV Mines shopping Centre and the film`s characters tickles me to the bone!! kudos to Disney and Pixar for this marvelous animation film..

The main characters of this anime are WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) and EVE (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator). The storyline goes like this. Planet Earth in the 22nd century is so polluted and full with human waste. The Earth condition during that time is so severe up to the point that earth is not suitable for human being to live. So a corporation (BuyNLarge company) create a huge spaceship to accommodate human population and leave behind a group of WALL E to collect and manage garbage on earth with a hope that someday earth will be back to normal conditions. 700 years latter only one WALL E survived and his daily routine is to compress garbage and manage them. Apart from that, WALL E also seems to auto generate a new directive i.e. collecting strange things in his eyes

(like bulbs, lighter etc), watch TV and stockpiling spareparts for himslef from the other widely available deactivated WALL E. According to some reviews, WALL E`s emotion is a result of watching romantic movies for over 700 years. It also interesting to notes that WALL E also have a pet which is actually a cochroach!!

The plot kick up with WALL-E discovers a seedling plant, which he replants in an old shoe and shortly afterwards the arrival of EVE from a spaceship and her directive is to search for a plant on earth as a sign of life. If she manage to do thats human will be able to return and repopulate earth. WALL E fall in love with EVE at the very first sight. WALL E`s determination to approach EVE is to no avail due to EVE is more interested in fulfilling her directive. In trying to win the attention of EVE, WALL E shows the plant , and as a result EVE`s mission fulfilled, EVE stores it inside herself and deactivates. WALL-E goes to great lengths to protect her motionless body until she is retrieved by the ship that delivered her. Distraught, WALL E races after the ship, clinging to the outer hull as it departs into the depths of space, eventually arriving onboard the spaceship where human resides for a almost a thousand year.

The plots continue, and the background is the spaceship Axiom, the ships full of human where all of them are unable to move without the assistance of a robot. As a result, obesity is their main problem. The Axiom itself is on autopilot by a robot. EVE try to present the plant to captain McCrea (spaceship captain) but unbeknown to her the plant is already stolen by GO 4 (Captain McCrea`s assistance). Actually the robot who control the autopilot is on mutiny and they do not want to send human back to earth. The plant are needed to activate hyperjump function on the Axiom. EVE is deemed to be malfunctioning and sent to the robot repair ward with WALL-E. Mistakenly thinking that the diagnostic machine is trying to hurt EVE, WALL E takes and accidentally uses EVE’s detached cannon arm to free the other malfunctioning robots in the repair ward, and both become fugitives from security. Annoyed, EVE tries to send him back to Earth in an escape pod when McCrea’s first mate GO-4 arrives and deposits the missing plant in the pod, indicating that he had stolen it without McCrea knowing. GO-4 sets the pod to self-destruct and launches it with WALL E inside, but WALL E manages to escape with the plant just before the pod detonates.

EVE return the plant to McCrea followe by WALL E shortly after.Out of curiosity to see the earth condition, captain McCrea projects EVE’s security camera footage, which allows EVE to witness the lengths to which WALL-E went to protect her while she was deactivated, and she falls in love with him. On seeing the footage, Captain McCrea is in shock when he realize that the earth enviromental devastation is so severe and wows to return to earth and clear up all the mess. However the autopilot refuse to obey the order from the captain. Struggle occurs and the captain with the assistance of WALL E, EVE and a bunch of malfunctioning robots manage to defeat the autopilot and his crew. However during the struggle, WALL E is severely “injured”. EVE put the plant in the holo-detector and activating the hyperjump back to Earth.

Having arrived on Earth, EVE frantically try to “heal” WALL E by replacing WALL E`s internal motherboard circuits. At first WALL E seems to be okay but in reality WALL E already lost his memory. Once repaired WALL E backs to his original directive which is to collect, to compact and transport garbage.Heartbroken, and believing that the WALL E she knew and loved is gone forever, EVE takes hold of his hand and gives him a parting “kiss”. The resulting spark reboots WALL E’s memory, and he suddenly recognizes her as they clasp hands in joy and kiss once more. With a renewed sense of purpose, humanity and robots begin working together to restore Earth’s biosphere, directed by the enthusiastic McCrea.

Fuhh..how is it?

well for me its really an interesting story.. It`s just not aboaut love, friendship..it also teach us about our responsibility to take care of our environment and not too dependant on the technology on our daily life… All in all, the movie is quite hillarious and seeing your love one laughing during the show, now thats what I call priceless!!
